OK, children, gather ’round while Uncle Lefty rants about how things were so much better in the old days. I have been watching porn for a long time (sorry Mom). I saw my first hardcore way back in the mid-’70s. I cut my perve teeth on movies like Autobiography of a Flea, The Opening of Misty Beethoven and Behind the Green Door. Movies with plot and characters that heightened the sexual tension and energy. They sold those tapes for $50-$75 bucks a pop to consumers and zillions of video rental joints. Then they figured out that “compilation” tapes sold as well as the features. Soo…. they took the features, chopped them up and sold them as anal videos, big tit videos, blow job videos and cum shot videos… nothing but 10-15 second pop shots for 4 hours. Ugh.
Then came the internet. Now we could shoot 15-20 minute scenes that had nothing to do with anything. Just find a girl, get her naked and do her… hard. Lots of spitting, choking and slapping required, thank you.
Which leads most thinking people (and nearly all women) to declare that “porn is boring”. It is indeed. Repetitive, poorly shot, stiff actresses and chemically enhanced men, void of creativity, drama and heat.
Now that I got that out of the way, I should say that I have long believed that it is useless to squawk about a problem without offering up a solution.
